NOTICE OF PROMULGATION OF TAX COLLECTOR REGULATION 2012-1
The Office of Treasurer and Tax Collector has promulgated Tax Collector Regulation 2012-1 on
April 3, 2012. The Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector has Charter responsibility to collect the City’s
taxes, and enforce the City’s tax laws as written. Regulation 2012-1 is intended to provide assistance
and guidance for all operators in San Francisco to follow the existing law with regards to the transient
occupancy tax. Regulation 2012-1 does not reflect any new tax, and does not create any new tax
obligations.
This Office strives to ensure that all taxpayers are treated fairly and equitably under the law. Should any
