Escheatment of Unclaimed Funds Held by the City & County of San Francisco for Three Years Pursuant to Government Code Sections 50050 – 50056
On May 21, 2025, the Office of the Treasurer & Tax Collector published a Notice of Escheat of Monies held by the City & County of San Francisco in the San Francisco Examiner. This notice pertains to funds held by the Office of the Treasurer & Tax Collector that have remained unclaimed for three years. Pursuant to California Government Code Sections 50050 – 50056, funds that remain unclaimed 45 - 60 days after the first publication of the notice of unclaimed funds will become the property of the City & County of San Francisco.
