Your 2021-2022 registration fee will be calculated using your 2020 gross receipts.

Because of the many COVID-19 deadline deferrals, our office built a business registration renewal form that collected information for two years of renewals (2020-21 and 2021-22). For various reasons, some businesses did not report their 2020 gross receipts on this form. However, it's imperative that all businesses report their 2020 gross receipts, so that our office can use that information to determine your 2021-22 business registration fee and send you a bill. If you received a notice from our office asking you to report your 2020 gross receipts, please follow the instructions above.

Some businesses may have received a bill from our office for the 2021-22 business registration fee and believe the fee is incorrect. Business registration fees for 2021-22 have changed significantly due to the passage of Proposition F (Business Tax Overhaul), which became effective January 1, 2021. If you believe your business registration fee is incorrect, first view the business registration fee changes enacted by Proposition F. If you continue to believe this fee is incorrect, you may amend your 2020 gross receipts by following the instructions above or seek additional assistance.
